SOILMINTANA project disclosed through specialized courses

NEIKER-Tecnalia teach the course “towards sustainability in agricultural practices. Biological indicators of soil health “organized by Hazi on 3 and 4 December 2012, from 17:00 to 20:00 at the premises of NEIKER (Arkaute)

The researcher Carlos Garbisu, head of Ecology and Natural Resources department and Head of Soil Microbiology Group of NEIKER, will explain the importance of soil conservation and the concept of “Soil Health” in addition to publishing the microbial health indicators that should be taken into account.

Iker Mijangos also Neiker researcher and SOILMONTANA project leader, will delve into issues like unsustainable agricultural practices and the impact of alternative agricultural practices on soil health. Through this journey  biomarkers application practical cases and the use of new cards Agroecosystem Health recently published as part of the tools for diagnosing the health of soils, developed within the European project LIFE – Soilmontana will be presented.

Furthermore, on 19 December 2012, will be held the Second Composting Conference from 10:00-13:00 pm, organized by Hazi Korporazioa in NEIKER facilities (Arkaute)
